Hello! I'm very happy to have found this forum! Great posts and very good to see how many Jag lovers are around.

Since one week I have my nearly perfect x300 Sovereign. Unfortunately this car does NOT have TRACtion control as well as seat heating.

I was told that probably all the Sovereigns have the traction control as well as the seat heating build in, but it needs to be activated via software + buttons need to be build in.

Could somebody please tell me if this is true? Are there any Howtos around?

Hello there and welcome! I also have an x300 Sovereign, 1997 and it has heated front seats, which are activated by a switch on the dashboard, amongst the switches for the door locking/unlocking and heater blower switches. It also has traction control, but doesn't have the option of manually switching it off. I have found that there is an awful lot of variation across the xj range, depending on model, specifications and year of manufacture, not to mention which market they were made for. I live in Ireland so mine would be European spec. different to that in the U.S. I seriously don't believe that there are two identical x300's on the planet, as many options were selected, or not, as the case may be, by the first purchaser.
