Default Air flow meters - Land Rover alternative?

I was at the junkyard this weekend and sawy some 1996-98 Land Rovers that has a Sagem/Lucas 20 AM air flow meter. It looks identical to those used on X300's, so I was wondering if anyone has specs on them? I did a quick search and couldn't find anything.

If it's close to the XJR meter it might be an alternative.

What we need is a replacement flow meter that fits into the plastic housing. I mean the proboscis that protrudes in to the airflow that is attached beneath the rectangular electronic unit.
On the original Lucas units these are riveted on, but could be drilled out. On the non-OEM ones available on the net for £99.99, they are screwed on with non-tamper screws.

I emailed the eBay supplier but they won't supply just the 'guts'.

If a Rangie AFM is the same, one could swap the guts over ("Alimentary" my dear Watson - get it? Tragic dad joke)

Here is a previous discussion on Piston Heads about Lucas 20AM Air Flow Meter on X300.
https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/...0&f=8&t=692570

Saw another listing for a used Lucas 20AM AFM bearing the Parts No. ERR5595A, claiming to be pulled from a 1996 Land Rover 4.0 SE.

There are several listings on eBay of Lucas Air Flow Meter 5AM claiming to suit both Land Rover and Jaguar showing interchangeable Parts Nos. ERR5198, 70388B and DBC10852, but for Jaguars they seem to fit X40, XJ12 or pre-1995 XJ6.

There seems insufficient evidence that the AFM on Land Rovers and Jaguar X300 are identical for the same manufacturing years.

Have seen web pictures of the Lucas 20AM Air Flow Meter with Parts Nos. LHE1620AA, LHE 1620 AA, 70401B or 70390B. New ones from Jaguar Classic Parts are no longer available. Refurbished units are being sold at GBP152 (out of stock) Lucas 20AM Refurbished Air Flow Meter; Aftermarket (unbranded) new ones available from eBay for GBP100 Aftermarket Air Flow Meter. Wonder if there are good reviews on the aftermarket new ones. I presume the originals are quite long lasting, or am I right in not reading much about them in the forums?
