Buying Advice
Hello,
I have just joined the forum and am looking for good advice from all owners. I am considering buying a 1996 XJ with the 3.2L engine. The car has had a total of 3 owners and currently has 300,000 km/ 185000 miles. The car has a service history and partial repairs have been carried out over a 3-year period (a total of 13 garage bills). I was wondering if you guys could give advice on what to look out for when buying this Jaguar or if you could direct me to a topic where I can find the buying advice?
Kind regards,
Maxim

There is a wealth of advice online and on here, the search function / Google would be a good place to start. The X300 series is generally thought to be one of the most reliable Jaguar ranges, and pretty reliable by comparison with the wider market generally. High mileages are not a problem for a well maintained example, and 3.2s are plentiful and easy to live with.
