Default CD - Changer adaptor

Hello, I recently managed to get a 6-cd changer for my 1996 Sovereign, the changer unit is LXF4160BA with a single DIN-plug. The seller claims that it was previously installed in 1996 XJR.

Now, I checked everywhere and there is no matching DIN in my boot, only two free plugs beside battery, so I'm guessing these are for the changer?

Is there a adaptor so I can connect this unit, or have I wasted 60€?

I managed to find one site that offers an adaptor that looks like it could fit?

rollox:
AFAIK, there no adapter needed for the Alpine unit to plug into the X-300 radio system- it is only a cable from the rear of the radio to the trunk. The cable is a blue- purple sort of color, and is installed even on cars without the CD. I suppose ROW cars might be different from federal models, but thats the situation on our cars.
You should find the cable behind the trunk liner on the center of the bulkhead under the "parcel shelf" - look up high.

I have a spare cable I would give you, but I assume the shipping would be more than it is worth from the US.

Thanks,

I literally ripped the trunk apart and searched everywhere, but I couldn't find any free cables. I took some pictures of the two plugs that aren't connected to anything, these are the only free cables in my trunk. Does your cable fit to any of these plugs?

No! The cable you are looking for is a DIN connector and might be pushed coiled on one side or another. Maybe the ROW cars did not have the cables installed. I know the radios are different from ours.
I will try and find my cable to make a picture tonight.
