Changing Low-Beam Headlights, '95 XJ6
Hi,
I have a 1995 XJ6 4.0L that appears to have a dead passenger-side low-beam headlight that should probably be replaced before I get pulled over. I've opened up the hood, expecting an easy, intuitive procedure, but matters look more complicated than I expected.
I've done a search on the fora for other posts on this topic but the only one I found said that in order to detatch the headlamp assembly, you need to pry the lens and bracket out of the car, preferably with a prybar (is that a crowbar? I hope not). I've tried this method with no luckI am able to detatch the bracket by undoing the single tab I see at the 12-o'clock position, but there must be another tab at the 6-o'clock position because I cannot fully detatch the piece.
I don't have an owners' manual for the car (and I've searched all over the internet for an online version, with no luck) nor do I even know what sort of headlamp I should purchase as a replacement. If anyone has a 95-97 X300, could you please post the relevant information from your owners' manual on replacing a low-beam headlight?
Thanks!

RE: Changing Low-Beam Headlights, '95 XJ6
After some more fiddling, I've discovered that the proper technique is simply to use a lot of force to pry the damn headlights out, pulling them out from the front. And I used Sylvania 9006 bulbs, which are available pretty much anywhere (AutoZone, et al), should anyone be wondering what replacements I found.
