hello all, i have a 96 xj6 and when i let the car warm up for a while, the coolant comes up from the resevoir tank and comes through the cap spilling everywhere until its almost empty. it doesnt do it in the dead of winter but as the weather warms up then it does this. what could possibly be the problem?? and why does it do this?? please help!!

 

I'd say the most likely cause is a failed reservoir cap. It's probably dumping the coolant rather than allowing it to build pressure normally.

than for the quick response. yeah, that makes sense because I cracked the cap last winter. where can I get a replacement?

 

I don't know if one is made in the aftermarket or not, could be. Part from a Jaguar dealer would be P/N MNA4440AA.
