Does anyone know if a new Ford VCM 2 will function with the old IDS v118.5? It looks like they come with a particular software version so wondering how to get one to work with my older version of IDS to interface/control X300's.

 

As an option, a used VCM that would come with a newer IDS version. Can I use the older IDS 118.5 with this VCM or are VCM's only up-gradable going forward and not backward?
