Just made several tools to compress the front springs in xj300.
I will be selling them $20 USA + shipping. I will test each one personally.

I need to know the pan bolt size. I want to get before I take off and maybe include a set with the spring compressor

 

feel free to come on over and test it in my xjs.

The screws are M8 x 16mm with a 13mm AF flange head with serrated under-head. They have patch-lock applied. It is very difficult to make out the material grade on any of the rusty examples that I have to hand, even with a magnifying glass, but I think they are 10.9 You can still buy them from Jaguar (Part number AGU2551). In the UK they are £3.58+VAT each.
