Hi. Have a 1996 xj6 and discovered this Crystalline sludge in the fuel tank port. We cleaned it out as best possible. Any idea what this stuff is? And how to keep it from coming back?
Fuel varnish? I have the issue on mine as well and suspect the previous owners ran cheap gas instead of premium, and my car sat a few years with a low tank level.
