I sold my X300 in November 2005 with 162876 on the clock and it was still running perfectly. The X300 certainly is one of the best from Jaguar.

also what did you do for you cluster back lighting. it looks real nice and keeping the red needles too....
mine is currently blue lighting with white needles.

I wonder if they changed the lighting from 95 to 97? Mine is bone stock, haven't replaced any lights yet. The temp gauge face is the only one currently out. I figured I would wait until something else went out before I bothered replacing any :-)
