Has anybody else noticed this re car prices?
I don't know why I do it but I am always checking up on the current prices of cars for sale. I look on Automart, eBay, local papers and my regular Jag magazine. Now, I don't understand why it should be but cars offered for sale in the back of the Jag mag are offered for a whole heap more than the same model is offered for elsewhere.
Is it possibly because people looking to buy a Jag would expect one being offered in the Jag mag to have been better looked after than one offered on eBay?
I'm talking about old bangers like mine being offered for £3,000 or so with little MOT and just a scattering of service history etc.
Just curious,
Steve
ps .... while I'm here, if your car has a Leaper on the bonnet, can you see it from your normal driving position?

5tevie, I think that because people pay more to place an advert in a magazine they then expect to receive more.
Agreed, was looking at X300/XJR on Autotrader yesterday to see if I could justify a trip over to see you all in the NW.
As an aside, check with your insurance about the leaper they were not fitted by Jaguar in the UK. (and no, I am not saying anything about the legal aspect arguments, simply that in the event of a bad one, insurance will look at non notified modifications as a way to get out, same thing applies to aftermarket different sized alloys).
