Ok so every now and again the headlight lense would pop out of the socket on the top if I went over a bump and I would always gentle lock it back in to place. Well I was outside doing some leaves and I was about 10 feet away from the car and I heard a loud glass shatter and the glass lense broke into tiny pieces. I looked long and hard for any type of rock or something that could've hit it but my work car was parked in front. Is this something that can occur? i hadn't moved the car in 4 days which makes this almost comical. LOL I'm still scratching my head on this one.

 

My guess is that there may have been some stress cracks from it previously being loose and getting shuffled around going over the bumps. It just reached the point and probably the afternoon sun may have helped to shatter it.
