Default Help finding gearbox number. Is this it?!

Hi, I've been struggling to find the unique gearbox number for my 1996 XJR6 (X306). The workshop has come back with a couple of numbers, and now the picture attached, which they said was on the housing of the gearbox casing. But is this the unique serial number?! Have been going around in circles a bit on this and would appreciate any help. Thanks.

The bottom number is the transmission serial number.

Thanks Jagboi.

On a separate note because the GM tag is green somebody has said this means the gearbox is a reconditioned unit but done properly by GM, does anyone know if there's any truth in this?

It's possible, although GM tends to use the Goodwrench brand for rebuit/remanufactured products. My tag is blue:
