Default Got gearbox? What car?

I have a 4 speed gearbox with Laycock overdrive and would like to identify the type of car it came out of, in case I need parts.

Is there a database of serial numbers for Jag gearboxes?

The serial number is JZN1103 and there looks like a date on the main right side casing of 13 10 66

Any pointers greatly appreciated.

I think it will be the 4-speed box introduced in the early 60s, and used on all Jaguars with a manual gearbox, although I'm not sure if the E-type had an overdrive option. Its a good box. The overdrive was made by Laycock de Normanville in Sheffield, and parts are still available, but the gearbox is more difficult for spares other than bearings, of course.

I found a link to SALOON Data - Keeping track of every Jaguar Saloon - Jaguar, Daimler classic saloon (sedan) information, articles, photos and register which has all sorts of info on early jags and is searchable by serial number. A search indicates it must be from a Mark X/420G.
