can anyone please tell me what this connector plugs to please. Its in front left engine bay behind the headlamps

 

LH Air Bag Crash Sensor. There is a matching one on RH side also.

 

But I can't find anything that it connects into there's no other empty connector. so does that mean that my airbag sensor is gone?

 

I might be misunderstanding the question. I assumed you were talking about the white connector in the middle of the picture. It is already connected. The yellow sleeve side goes to the Air Bag controller, the black sleeve side to the sensor.

If that isn't the connector you mean then you will need to be more specific. Everything in that picture looks to be connected.

Are you are talking about just the circular clip on the white connector? If so, that just holds the connector to a convenient loom to stop it flopping about. It doesn't matter what that attaches to, anything will do.
