How many miles do you have on your XJR-6? It looks really nice. I love the black on black.

The '95 is my daily driver, about 25 miles/day. 163000 on the clock.
The '91 is my son's daily driver, 60 mile round trip 3 times a week. 133000 on the clock.
The Bimmer is used by Wife, about 2 miles daily. 151000 on the clock.

Both Jags have been excellent in reliability. For that matter, so has the BMW. Because of the short daily use of the BMW, I like to give it a run every few days, and usually use it on longer trips.

Right around 82,000. Previous owners didn't let it get out of the garage much!

I drive my 1996 XJ-6 40 miles per day, 6 days per week. At 137,000, no major woes. Why drive anything else? Mike.

Our 97 VDP has been a daily driver since we got it nearly five years ago. It started with 42k on it and now has 91k. It has been very reliable. Only once did a coil fail and I couldn't drive it that day. All other repairs have been quick and easy (since I know these cars well) I would, in a heartbeat, trade it for the XJR6 but those aren't exactly falling out of the sky anymore!

Default Drive mine every day

I have a 97 XJ6L that I purchased last June and it had 73K miles on it. Today I have 90K miles. It is my daily driver. It replaced a Nissan Frontier 4X4 so I get better gas mileage in my cat that I did in the truck.

The only time I'm not driving it is when the weather is really nice and I drive the MG.

yepppp almost everyday got a smooth 194,000 on her going strong, not alot of problems either just the normal wear and tear things, not sure if i will keep her or just slowly rebuild her, i.e new interior, headliner, carpet, new paint, few mechanically things, was told she could go to 400,000 miles, hell at my age of a smooth 63, hell i'll be dead before that, lololol,, would like a 97 vanden plas tho. happy driving everybody.

Geno
1995 xj6, bought her when she was one yr old, from older couple, that didnt like the low profile getting in and out.

Default '97 XJ6 Daily Driver

Just bought a 1997 XJ6 VP; 220,000 miles on the car, 70,000 on rebuilt 4.0 motor and transmission. 120 mile round trip Mon.-Thurs. A joy to drive. Great running car. Comfortable cruiser with plenty of power. Was looking for a used car with "broke in" miles and reliable. Why spend 4 to 8000$ on a used lower end American or Jap car that you know you'll end up replacing WHEN it dies, when I could buy a car that was once a $57,000.00 plus car for a very small fraction of that price, even with the higher mileage (bout the same as a beater though) you know the bugs have been worked out and by this mileage, things repaired. And most of these cars have been one owner cars and well taken care of. Just keep up on the maintenance, plan ahead. Do your research and look for a good one. worth your time to take a longer drive than normal to look at a nicer one once you have several you're interested in. Nice cars man! Oh yea, read these forumns, lots of good advise and encouragement; priceless!

1997 XJ6 with 197,000 km on the clock. A daily driver during the summer months. Intermittently used in the winter months.

Air conditioning still ice-cold after 15 years on original refrigerant fill.

i drive my 97 XJ6L daily also has 90k on the clock. has not given me major problems just the normal wear like shocks. some stuff has stopped working like the keyless entry and the central lock button aswell as the center console clock. and i had to do some mayor work to the roof cause the sunroof was rotten so had to replace half of the roof and it now has a nissan glass sunroof completly operational just like the stock one. and as of now im having issues with the car not starting but i created another thread about that one.

Hello to all You Jaguar Owners/Driver,
This is my first post,I have owned and driven Jaguars for thirty plus years after being introduced to them by my Father who was a first class Engineer and Person who is no longer with us.
Yes I drive my 4ltr Sov x300 1997,1002000 mls,every day ranging from 2miles to 100miles /day.
Every thing works even the A/C with the exception of the clock which I am in the process of fixing.
It has been 100% reliable until recently,I get 15mpg around town on very short journeys and 25mpg plus on a run.

My XJR's now got 224'000kms as a daily driver.
Originally intended as a weekend car, but I changed jobs and returned the employer funded Holden Cruze, so now it gets a daily commute.

I fitted some 225/60R16 tyres on 16 inch XJ8 rims for a massive improvement in ride comfort and directional stability (on rough roads). Originally intended to be a temporary measure while I have the factory 17inch wheels refurbished, but I think I may keep them for awhile longer.

I have an 97 XJ6L and if Im not mistaken (AKA X300). I also drive mine every day. I bought it last year. It has 106,000 miles. I got the deal of the century even with the problems that I am now encountering. Going to post a new thread on my issues.

Yea, those are factory option. I like them a lot, makes the car stand out a bit. I tried to upload new pictures of the upgrades. I got the front mesh grill from Mina, HID's headlights, and the tint. The upload page isn't working for me . I do try to take care of her.
