The 1997 XJ6 I am currently working on has fog lamps in the lower part of the front bumper but so far I have not been able to get them to function. This is the first X300 vehicle I have owned. I have tried various switches on the dash but nothing so far. The front bumper was replaced by a past owner and during this process some of the wiring was damaged by whoever was doing the work. I have fixed all of these issues I could find but still I am not getting any working fog lamps. Is there some specific switch combination I should be trying here?

I don't have an owners manual with the car.

 

Headlamps ON (NOT MAIN BEAM-low beam) The switchpack on the left panel next to the steering column has the switches for front and rear Fog Lamps. They are next to each other.
