Hey everyone I have a 95 xj6 that my mom gave to me this is my first car and I need some help there a plate the the front of the engine that's leaking oil and starting today when I press the gas it makes a squeaking noise can someone tell me what this is.

that is the cover plate for the intermediate shaft there's a seal that fits behind the plate but i'm not familiar with the replacement procedure but somebody here will probaby chime in as for your squeak perhaps you have a loose drive belt although that noise is usually more like an ear piercing screech
