still have the old " Made in Japan " labeled coils ?

The red lines are event markers with respect to the sometimes changing RPMs . Other then that your data points are not stable . The MAF at idle for a 4 litter engine someone mentioned should be around 4 g/s if I remember correctly . Compare the value in Thifty's thread

With the new coils one may be arcing to ground on the valve cover . Before the fault accures turn on the AM not FM radio and listen for interference as it does , watch for the voltmeter to go wacko , and see if the RPM needle drops to zero before the engine actually is .

May have a bad alternator suppression module which is actually a capacitor to smooth out the not so smooth DC out of the alternator rectifier . Easy to test .

This may explain why your data points are all over the place if not the correct values . Corrupted data bus

Sounds like it doesn't accure until you put it in drive as this is the shortest injector pulse width and where a unresponsive injector shows up . Try some recommended Techron injector cleaner in the tank
