iphone 5 connector/adaper to stereo?
Is there an adapter available so I can play the music from iphones etc. through the original sound system of my 1996MY X300?
It must be a solution with the small chinch-connector, similar to ear-phones.

Yep , better then a adapter using the cassette reading head is to bypass the head with a hardwire bypass jack that you soldier in after the head . Better sound quality and many post on this and easy to do yourself . More later . Pics are down .

Well the solution with the cassette was definitely not my mind.
But in mind I have a so called M-Bus which is connected instead of CD-Changer. I have such a solution still in my car (when I had iPhone4).
@Lady Penelope: Thanks for you inputs. your solution is a different way. With only one cable with earphone-connector on the other side?

There is a document on how to do the M-bus approach into the rear deck power amplifier ( not all X300's have a external power amplifier ) in the X308 section but I believe ( just skimmed through it last year ) you would lose the selectivity of using the CD and FM function and be only one source from the newly modified single jack .

There is a parrot handsfree phone adapter which allows music to be streamed etc from your phone wirelessly. A simple plug connector is available for the non Harman Kardon stereo. Harmon Kardon is another story, and can be done, but much more involved
