This years destination was Ireland, in another x300 saved from the scrap yard. From MOT failure she was nursed back to life:- welded, serviced, rocker leak sorted, misfire fixed, suspension and exhaust repaired, breaks unseized and thermostat replaced. For those who remember Rusty don’t panic I still have her and she is good, but sat this trip out.
Our four day trip was Fishguard South Wales to Rosslare Ireland and on to Cork. We followed the coast road called “wild Atlantic Way” to Galway before travelling home via Holyhead.
Highlights of the trip including swimming in the Atlantic from Banna beach, a front break calliper falling off and refitting with a towing shackle pin and Guinness.

Must have been a quick trip, its such a fast looking Jaguar! Racing stripes, XK8 revolvers, and that WING! You can tell she is related to Rusty, but the slightly less showy sibling, comparatively almost proper.
Did the caliper fall off due to rust? How did the MOT not spot that? And was the Guinness for you guys or to hold the caliper on?
Rescue Jags are the best, right? Just like dogs. They both deserve a new and better life. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
