put fuel in my jaguar 5 minutes after driving my car suddenly lost power started popping and backfiring would not rev .called rac out , they checked fuel pump all ok . Checked coil pack they are ok sampled fuel did not show up anything . restarted car next day every thing seems fine can anyone help

Do you have any codes , If you don't have any codes the misfire could be the crankshaft position sensor throwing off the spark and fuel injector timing as the CKPS doesn't w always give you a code . Clean up it's connector first for it's in a bad environment .
no no codes came up on dashboard I have noticed the crankshaft sensor plug does look a bit dirty and a little oily many thanks whissy
