Thinking about picking up some spare key blanks off the internet. Do our keys for the X300 models have a transponder (chip) built in? I'd like to make up a few spare keys and know I can get them cheaper than my local locksmith.

 

Mine has. Make sure the smooth part between the plastic part and the "business end" is long enough. This part on mine is 20mm or 3/4 inch

 

USA models do not have a transponder chip in the key
