Leaking rear differential

I have a 1996 Jaguar Vanden Plas 4.0 liter 6 cylinder. There is a leak from the rear differential. It is mechanically sound but needs a pinion seal and some O rings. what causes these leaks and does anyone know where I can find these parts?
