Left exterior lights are not working..........
Looking under the front left end of this 1995 XJR I found this big connector socket (SEE PICS), with no matching device nearby. (The smaller connector is for the bumper)
What am I missing??
Left exterior lights are not working, right lights are at a fast clicking speed. Intermitent clicks and panel arrows OK. Headlamps OK.

With your Jaguar and most Jags have left and right wiring circuts, unlike most cars that only have 1 circut for lights, you can have one side of the cars lights working while the other is out . in the boot under the battery cover there is a fuse box which carries the light controll unit and fuses . chech these fuses. there a number of fuse boxes in the car if you have the owners manual it will give you locations and fuse ratings.

You might be able to find the electrial diagarms for your car at this site.

Just click it on and then pick your car. It has been a great help to me. I found it on this forum. Enjoy

Are you talking about your direction turn signal indicators here, because on most cars that I have owned, the fast clicking speed of the light on the other side of the car usually means that you have a bulb failed.
If you are talking about the indicators, try putting the Hazard lights on and walking around the car to check if a bulb is out.
No idea about the big connector you have found, would guess at front bumper mounted fog lamps?
Someone else may have a better idea.
