hello, I am looking to get a smoother sound with the x300 kind of like the xjr has or a porsche type sound, I was at the exaust shop and was thinking about going with a flowmaster exaust system. Has anyone ever done there exaust on a car like this, and how did it come out, please let me know, thanks.

 

I personally had fabulous results by simply cutting off the rear secondary resonators and running straight pipes + nice tips. gave it a mild yet still mean roar under acceleration.

 

Magnaflow! Look for a v8 style muffler it makes it sound exotic like a mild 8cyl. If you delete the rear resonators also it will be noticeable all the time though, so if you want to maintain the stealth ability when cruising keep the rear resonators.

 

I deleted the secondary cats and the front resonators in front of the diff. It has mild but noticable idel note and cruise is pretty much the same. Tip in throttle and full and nice. It give the exhaust more perf sound without sounding like crap, also is cheap. You can sell the cats to scrap yard and recoup either all or some off the cost with running straight pipe in this section
