Default Lost audible warning for indicators and headlamps left on

Greetings fellow Jag lovers

Can anyone help with the following?

Two audible warnings have stopped functioning; I'm pretty sure at the same time.

1) The clicking sound when indicators are flashing, and

2) The bong bong sound to warn you that you're getting out of the car and have left the headlamps on.

I found two fuses which might possibly relate in the fuse box front left in the engine compartment (numbers 10 and 14 if I remember correctly), but they were fine.

I have a set of PDF manuals (published originally by Jaguar) but was unable to locate any reference to this particular area or problem. May be that my search terms were not good, but I suspect that whilst I received a lot of documentation when I bought the manuals, it is not a complete set, or maybe the problem is just too trifling and easily dealt with (for a professional, who these manuals were aimed at) to warrant inclusion in the manuals.

Not worried so much about the indicators, but as we in Switzerland are now obliged to drive with headlamps on at all times, it's only a matter of time until I leave the headlamps on when I leave the car.

All help appreciated.

There is a small speaker in the steering column. This is fed by the BPM (Body Processor Module). All of the warning inputs go to the BPM and the BPM outputs the sound to the speaker.

So if you have no audible warnings at all I would start by checking out that speaker and the connections to it. If all that checks out OK then next step would be the BPM itself.

See No. 3 in on this page.

Brendan, many thanks for your reply. Sounds good. I will do as you have suggested. Best regards, Jeff
