Default New Gear Shift Knob

I had the old leather one that looked kind of ratty and ordered a new one from British Autowood, now i have to decide if I want to get the wood inlay on the drivers door fixed, its cracked I assume from closing over theyears. All the other wood is in good shape.

Looks great! I've only heard good things about them.

Same here, have surmised they are likely one of the best based on their eBay feedback versus other similar products.

I have plans to get a mahogany (to match the wheel) with the green growler emblem inlaid and thin pearl band.

If you look over on the XK8 forum, member Philhef had them do a piano black steering wheel that turned out great

That looks nice. Does the knob just unscrew to remove it? Thanks

Yes, here is some more info:

British Autowood | Dashboard and Woodwork Restoration

There are quite a few less expensive knobs with inlays than those by BA, but closeup shots (and eBay reviews) often illuminate that some of the cheaper versions have a fair amount of bubbles and inclusive defects, especially around the edges of any embedded emblem.

The BA products seem very well made, although they are a bit more expensive.

Yes it just unscrews and the nut underneath is adjustable so you can have the Jaguar facing in the correct direction
