My '97 VDP is up for inspection and I haven't been driving it much lately, so the drive cycles have not been completed in order for it to even be tested for emissions. (I also had electrical work done recently, so the battery was disconnected) So I obtained drive cycle info from a Jag mechanic and attempted to complete them. While running the cycles, the check engine light illuminated. After plugging in the code reader, I received the code "P1187 O2 Upstream Circuit Short". I have purchased a single OEM upstream O2 sensor to install, but do I need to replace both upstream sensors to mend the issue? That is assuming there are two upstream sensors. (there seems to be)

Note that this thread has had no activity for nearly 3 years. You might do better to send a private message to the original poster or start a new thread and specify which of your Jaguars is having the problem and the exact symptoms.
