Default Passenger Seat Recliner Option

Does anyone know if the switch (see pic) that mounts on the side of the passenger seat for rear passenger access can be added to cars that didn't have them? Is the wiring present within the seat itself ? Was this a standard feature on Vanden Plas models and if so,for what years? I've never seen them on anything before the 1997 X300 series VDP. I was thinking of adding this feature to my '95 VDP.Passenger Seat Recliner Option-jaguar-vdp-rear-recliner-switch-passenger-seat.jpg

I have 3 VDP's. That switch is on both 96's, not the 95. 95 is SWB, both 96's are LWB. I'd be dubious that any passenger seat produced prior to the introduction of the LWB car would be pre-wired.

Is the wiring visible with the seat-back removed or is it hidden within the seat?
