Will the 18 inch Penta wheel fit the X300 other then the tire profile ?

Yes! I have them on my car - my favourite Jag wheel and the only reason to look at an X308 and only then it is to buy its wheels!

Take a look at the post B1mcp mentions - with the correct spec tyres the 18s have the same rolling circumference as the original 17s found on an XJR.

I have Penta wheels on my XJR. See my earlier thread X308 Penta Wheels on X300. I am using 245-40-18 tires, and have added 30mm spacers to the rear. I added the spacers as I noticed that X300 also looks good with staggered wheels (8" front; 9" rear). An example is this often admired X300 with 18" Hydra wheels.






Love those wheels very much. See another example with the X308.
