Default Power steering column adjuster

Hey all,

While my car is in the shop figuring out the ECU communication issue, I'm getting the ducks lined up to start all my neglected tasks once I get the old girl back on the road.

One item is the power steering column adjustment. When I bought the car, the wheel wouldn't move up and down but it would telescope just fine.

Nowadays the telescoping feature is also dead, no specific trauma happened to it, it just ceased functioning. I can still hear the motor whirring when I operate the button, so I've ruled out electrical, figuring there's a lever or cable or linkage involved that has failed.

So, 2-part question: How much ****-ache is it to fix? Any idea what part(s) I need to be looking for?

Thanks in advance folks.
John

I believe you only need to replace those cables for it to work again. its one of the common failure, but do check the motor see if it moves when you use tilt function
