Default Power to trunk lights problematic

The wiring bundle that follows the hinge for the trunk seems to have flexed a wire to the point of breaking. My trunk lights were not working, I reached under and jostled the bundle after reading another post that indicated this was a trouble spot. They flickered on then off and no more on. No fuses out. Question here is - when I'm on my back laying in my trunk looking up at the wires, which color wires feed the trunk lights? I'm guessing the break might not be obvious so pulling these aside and replacing a stretch of the wire will likely be in order. I couldn't decipher the service manual information to this detail - maybe I'm just electrical-diagramatically challenged.

Just pop out the light fittings as you would to change a bulb, and see what wires are coming off them.

Default Thanks - you were right.

Of the wire bundle (2) were completely broken apart, (3) were nicked to expose bare wire and the rest were significantly crimped.

I reconnected the broken wires, re-insulated the nicked wires, straightened the rest, re-taped the bundle then released some play in the bundle and tada! I've got trunk lights again.

Everything was very obvious as you said. I'm surprised other things weren't working.
