Question about evapator/heater core?
hi I am not sure which part this is but its right behind the dash behind the steering wheel, and its the circulation part for the ac/heat. It has a flap the open and closes when you hit the circulation button on your climate control. I noticed that when the flap opens and closes it makes a popping sound, so I accidently pressed it to hard and broke the flap Does this affect anything in anyway? Then I noticed that the popping sound was still there, I found out where it was coming from, there is a small block box with a connector, so I unplugged the connector from that box and now I do not hear the popping noise. With the connector unplugged, and the flap broken will that affect anything?? thanks...

I think you have removed a plug to an air direction flap motor. I'm guessing there are about six to eight of these motors behind the dash. Did you remove the instument binacle to get to it? I've removed much of the dash from my spares car and these motors can be tricky to get to (even with the dash removed).

If the part you are talking about is straight in front of the steering column, and opens with the recirc button, it must be the LH blower motor. The blower motor assemblys each have a recirc door facing the passenger compartment. Maybe something is broken in the servo-motor for the door.

Probably not a big deal in south Florida. It would be a problem here in the north. Here in the cool\cold weather, if the recirc door is always open the windows like to fog up on the inside. Pain in the a**.
If your climate control seems to do what you want it to do, I wouldn't worry too much.
