Question Rear springs

Hi guys, need your advice about rear springs. I found out that there are two options of rear springs for x300 which were built with vin up to 751044 ( part number JLM11422) and second option ( part number JLM12257) for cars built after. I wonder If it would be a problem to fit JLM12257 springs for a Jag from first "generation"
Can anyone tell if there is a significant difference between those parts?
Paul

The updated spring has more turns in it and is a little taller. The change was made to reduce vibration under load, and increase the rear ride height. They are interchangeable, and it is a good idea to change them to the updated JLM12257 if you can.

Oh Im so glad to hear that because I was going to order them today! Interestingly britishparts.co.uk couldn't tell the difference and recommended the older model.
Appreciate it really!
Hope this thread will help someone in the future
