Default Renewing the brakes

As part of Rose's gradual restoration, her brakes were recently renewed. Instead of spending on common upgrades like slotted and cross-drilled rotors, multi-piston calipers, stainless steel brake hose, etc., I have decided to get new, ordinary rotors, replace brake hoses with ordinary but branded ones, rebuild the calipers, but use higher grade pads.

I must say there are many choices of aftermarket and direct replacements out there and it took quite a while to decide what to pick. The rotors are dead cheap (around GBP100 for four, but shipping really hurts). Was thinking of getting Akebono pads but couldn't find any vendor willing to ship out of the US so bought EBC Redstuff instead.

The mechanic did a great job in renewing the brakes and replacing the brake fluid as well. Rose now stops with much confidence. With such a powerful car, brake work is high on priority.
