As the title asks i am curious as to an approximation of parts shared between the x300 and the x308 (or parts from the x308 that are upgrades for parts on the x300)

the reason I ask is there is a few interior bits i need that i know i can get from an x308.
mostly being the fact i need a new drivers seat, but also there is a list of other bits i could easily replace.
other than the engine being different what kind of mechanical parts are shared?
are the brakes and suspension shared between the two? etc.

i am just asking as if the opportunity arises to pick up a x308 as a parts donor i would want to know just how much is usable.

 

I would not advise a X308 as a parts car. They only share 42% of parts. Actually, I just pulled that number out of thin air, but my point is that although they look very similar at first, many small changes were made with the 308. Plus, who wants those goofy long oval lights on the bumpers? Not me.

It would be like having an XJ40 as a parts car. You will find some things that fit the X300, but most won't.
