slow shifting after reset ECU

Default slow shifting after reset ECU

Dear All,

i had a big maintenance at my 1995 4.0l XJR and my ECU was disconnected from the battery power.
after taking it for a test drive, i noticed some slow shifting when accellerating from 0 km/hrs. it seemed that i was stuck in second gear or something.
when putting it in sports mode, this was somewhat better.
during the maintenance, i also changed the transmission oil and put in a new gasket. the oil level is slightly above maximum.

any thoughts/idea's how to fix this?

When I did a large flush on my transmission it seemed to hold for a second on the first drive and then mellowed out.

The other thing possibility is that the ECU, after being unplugged, "un-learned" your driving habits. I believe the cars do this to adapt. I have been able to tell a difference after my battery was disconnected. I had a longer 2-3 shift and a bad 3-4 shift vibration that would be better after an ECU "reset". The mono tube from an X308/XJR completely eliminated the issue recently.
