Default Steering Rack Difference between XJR and XJ6

Gents,

I have a '95 XJ6 and am needing to replace the steering rack. My question is, will a rack from an XJR fit? I believe the XJ6 steering part number is MNA3890AB and that of the XJR is MNA3890BB. Any significant differences please?

Thank you

I've checked two parts catalogs, the service manual, and the 'new model technical guide'....and can't find any explanation as to what is different about the XJR rack.

I *suspect* it is a slightly faster ratio and/or has slightly different valving for more feel.

My guess is that the two are interchangable in either direction

Cheers
DD

Doug is right, the XJR rack came with faster gear ratio and they were completely interchangeable.

That sounds very interesting. I am curious to hear how that works out for parts and labor.
