After replacing a dead battery the front parking lights no longer come on. With the rotary switch a position 1; the headlights are on (dimmed), at postition 2 the headlights are on full but still no front parking lights (amber lens in bumper). Have cleaned a tested the rotary switch and verified that all the lamps are ok (flashers and turn signals work). Rear parking lights work as expected. Is it common for the control module to get screwed up and is there a way to reset it to default settings?

 

Others with the same model have confirmed that the amber lights in the bumper are directional only. It was rejected for a VA safety inspection because of this. I tried another inspector and it was no problem.
