My trunk lights,growler(open) button do not work. I have checked the fuse,I have replaced all the wires on the trunk hinge that may possible be broken, the trunk "open" light on the guages does not light up when trunk is open(it lights up on ignition on) and the trunk open button on the dash does not work. Have run out of ideas,any suggestions would be welcome.

 

Update. Found the microswitch on trunk latch frozen.sprayed with wd40 and it now is working. So everything is as it should be,lights in trunk, trunk open light on dash,growler button working.my window security antenna says 315,my slcm says 315, but the key fob does not register. I bought two key fobs,neither work,and it seems impossible to tell what a key fob is,433 or 315. So i bought the slcm with 433 on the unit,changed it and now everything works. It was cheaper to buy the slcm than to keep buying key fobs on the chance they were 315.
Maybe this is a better way(cheaper way) to go rather than buying key fobs, as long as everything is working on the car,trunk lights,etc.

I agree. Some things have numerous possibilities causing the problem and it is really helpful when members write in and tell us what they found and how they fixed it which in turn helps other members.
