There were originally 3 sizes possible, depending on the climate of the intended market. Group 49 was the one for colder climates, and it's a monster, weighs 60 lbs.

I just replaced mine with a Group H8/49 monster. The AGM is even heavier. At least with diehards at Advance Auto all the sizes cost the same. When I removed the old battery which was the same size I noticed that you can fit smaller footprint batteries too.
