What parts need to be reproduced?
An update from the JEC on bits they have started to investigate on the xj40 and x300.
I do recommend this club, even if just for the great magazine !
” For the XJ40, replacement headlamp washer jet covers have reached the prototype testing stage and, if successful, should progress to production before too long. The related connector for the headlamp wash/wipe pipework has been adopted for reverse engineering activity too as have the troublesome waistline seals which have now progressed as far as looking for production sources.
Despite its relative youth, some important parts for the X300 range are very difficult to find these days. Among these are cylinder head gasket sets and exhaust manifolds which suffer regularly from cracking. The SNG Barratt development team is working currently to produce these head gasket sets inhouse, using laser engraving technology. Undamaged samples of the exhaust manifolds have been obtained ready for reverse engineering. Since this will be a relatively expensive process, members needing these manifolds should contact Barratt’s to register their interest in purchasing them when available. In this way, Barratt’s will be able to gauge the demand and viability of carrying out the necessary preparatory work for production.
“
So progress being made, and hopefully more will come over time.

Was away so only saw this thread just now. Here is my wish list of parts for XJR6 and manual model:
for all models:
(a) the airflow meter (for supercharged and non-supercharged models - they are virtually no longer available, one company makes aftermarket units but the supply and quality are unsteady)
(b) exhaust manifolds (too many variants; but one member is at long last helping to make a bulk order for a stainless steel solution, but a more affordable solution may help many others)
(c) side mirror joy-stick on window switch control panel (they have become brittle and can break easily, can only find good used ones but they won't last)
(d) rear wheel ABS sensors (heard that Audi A4's can work as replacement but they are cheap aftermarket units)
(e) engine ECU (have to think about what if good used ones are all gone - many perished due to water leak from above)
(f) ac heater blower units
(g) fuel pump relay
(h) the ABS Control Unit with Traction Control (good used ones are disappearing fast)
for manual drive models
(i) clutch master cylinder and slave master cylinder (have been improvising from X40 units)
(j) the linkage bushings set underneath the stick shift tower (some parts no longer available)
(k) radiator for manual models
(l) manual gearbox mount

flat black polymer is the way to go

I have an answer to the LNA6318AA part.
