Default Windsceen washer - help!

Anyone willing to provide dummies guide to why it ain't working - wipers wipe, but no water appears! Checked fuse, seems OK, tried refilling, seemed whatever I put in appeared on ground shortly (immediately!) after so was hopefully overfilling, too blasted cold to try and get under car to see where it's coming from (lost all feeling in toes and posterior just from venturing out earlier to fill bins before bin lorry calls tomorrow). Not enjoying having to lick windscreen clean at this time of year!

Big cat is 1995 XJ6 (X300) - i'm the smaller cat - 2009 black and white classic british short-hair! I'd post a pic but too many people might recognise me from wanted posters! Very good at helping daddy fix (try to fix, more like) things - I supervise, get in road, generally annoy enough to stop more and bigger mistakes being made!

Oh, and they made a t-shirt for me and the jag - went to see the gaslight anthem last month, and they'd a t-shirt with a big jag pussycat face on it and 'older and bolder' as caption - that's me, every single day

All advice welcomed

Thanks

His Nibbs

hmmmm...one I forgot to add to my "Common Problems" thread....not on my '95, but I looked at a '97 and another x300 of unremembered year with busted washer reservoirs....but they have a fluid-low light. On the other hand, the reservoir fill-neck telescopes so you should be able to tell if "daddy" is overfilling...

The washer reservoir on my 97 VDP is leaking now. Any fix for this outside of buying a $125 tank?

According to this thread, 93-97 Dodge Intrepid is close. No idea what they cost.

yes,i wrote about the dodge intrepid washer bottle.i installed one in my 96 xj6,the neck does not extend like the jag,and you'll have to drill some holes to fit.but the general size is close, and they can be had around hear for $20 or less.but you have to pull it yourself, and its cold this time of year in ohio..steven
