Default X300 inhibitor switch

This post is a thank you to forum for info I found. My 1995 x300 developed intermittent failure to crank in park then failed altogether. After comsulting the forum I followrd advice, removed trim around gear selector and 4 phillips screwsvholding shiftervin place....and there it was the culprit micro switch just as described. I bent the metal a little and repositioned the gear lever in park. The P ligjt illuminated and carvstarted immediately.
Thanks Jaguar forum; Time 10 mins. Cost Nil. My cheapest fix ever
Julian Goosexj6.

You have discovered the secret of the Magic P. Men have searched for centuries in their quest to try to understand it.

Free fixes are the best.
