Hi all, I'll start the ball rolling, trusting that others will add there knowledge to this thread.
I'm basically looking to find out the exact differences between the different X300 models. I drive what I believe to be a base model, with the 3.2 lt AJ16 engine, admittedly I have upgraded the head and tail lights with a set from an X308 and fitted "Andy's" crank sensor bracket along with a KnN pod air filter.
I was looking at local car sales web sites to see how much the x300s are selling for here in Australia when I noticed a X300 heritage listed and admitadly even after some Google searches have no idea where the heritage model came from or fitted in to the line? I realise that different countries received different variants along with upgrade options at the point of sale. I think this is where my sport model wheels came from.
Right Mikey there were many different market variations. I think base models came with cloth seating.
In the USA, the base models came with the "non-base" 4.0L engines (no 3.2 in the US), leather seating and automatic memory seats, auto tilt wheel, etc.
There is no Heritage model in the US and I haven't heard of that before.
Sport model dimple wheels are a nice upgrade but not available in the US. CD players were an option but included on the XJ12 and XJR.
Currently there is a good looking base model for sale locally, with a low 158,000 miles for $3900.
Not my previous XJ6 but just like it! I don't need a third Jag, but if I did.......
