The 2 test are separate as your observations are not related to each other

Rotate the knob on steering column from the marked auto to off , this relates to the battery drain

With the ignition key in run but engine not started remove the small relay in the corner of each fuse box with focus on the right engine bay fuse box , this right powers the engine ECU for starter enable just to get starter rotation first

The relay should click in your fingertips back to open

there is an inertia / crash switch that can be fickle and kill the engine

there is a reset bulb on top but does not always reset from reading others , do not disassemble as parts fly everywhere

with a paper clip you can jumper the 2 white wires on the connector

this is a pic of someone's right hand steering model , and the switch will always be on car's far right

Inertia switch disables the fuel pump. If you’re getting fuel, the inertia switch is not the problem.

Hello sirs , yesterday was jag day like every Suturday i try to make and something to Jag, so i try your opinions and the relays is in good condition they click i invers 🔄 them to see some difference, but i found something else in my car , if you remember i told you the fob key work only to unlock the car , i found the problem for this it was in the trunk the switch of the light was broken i fix it and now the fob can close and open the doors normally, but the key 🔑 it doesn’t recognize in the ignition, i really think the problem is the immo or something from the ignition , and something else from my clima i read the problems and i have the problem with number 11 and the 23 those with beep and the 46 number without, after i fix the problem with fobkey im not sure but the error stop to beep when i turn on the ignition , i will check it today because im going with a friend who have obd program on his laptop. 💻 I don't think we'll find much, I'm starting to get disappointed, do you know if it's possible for immo off?

With Immobilizing there is a module behind the dash near the key barrel , in the end the Immo can be negated by Andy

Again it gets it's power from the trunk hence the BT - 4 connector , do not remove connector yet

In this video you will see a fully functioning security system out of the factory , over time the dedicated speaker for chimes may not work , you can use a common meter on AC and see the value wiggle in place of chime sound

Security section

On the ignition switch which is the key to whole car power distribution it provides a ground path to close the small relay in the corner of each fuse box with the exception of the left engine bay fuse box relay ( only controls the car horns )

On each fuse box fuse 1 - 9 are hot at all times not needing the small relay to close , fuse 10 , 12 , 14 , 16 require the relay to close , the rest of the fuses are hot 11 , 13 , 15 , 17

The ignition switch can stick on key removal and not make the pin 4 ( to the SLCM ) to 5 ( car frame ground ) , this pin 4 to 5 commands the SLCM into a lock it up sequence and receiving agreements that such has locked which may be fouling the car up this way or that way

If the ignition switch is bad no new key needed and in this pic you don't have to separate the switch from key barrel , there are some lubes in barrel like spray graphite that works but a dripping mess on legs

the connector can get dirty from coffee spills and the car frame ground can get disturbed

Climate control codes I will go over with code list and easy things not on that list

See page 110

T703 BOOK

and

14-10

Your codes :

11 in car sensor that can be dusted off , no solvent as dries the bearing

23 dual pressure switch found in the 701 Jaguar PDF page 58 abouts , you will see the body OBD 2 codes in this 701 list , the dual pressure switch is the 4 wire pressure too high compressor cutout and operating pressure normal high to bring in radiator fans to high mode , this pressure too high cutout also sees pressure too low ( to low freon charge to even start )

46 foot vent motor can be driven by a 9 volt battery and wire clipped in desired position

Your 1996 wiring guide is here as I can't open file on this one web hot spot

The immobilization transponder / decoder / exciter is in the security section ( 18 ) as 4 wire and hard to find on prints in the center of print

Have you done the small relay in the corner of each fuse box test ?

This is a full to all points of car power distribution test
