x308 glass roof

Will a glass roof from an x308 retrofit into my 95 x309?

I don't believe the X308's were fitted with a glass sunroof. Jag started that in the Xj with the X350.

I'll admit, I was at the pub, and that's likely what I saw. Needless to say, would a glass roof panel setup from a newer model work in a 95?

The mechanism is completely different on the x350 from what I've seen so I doubt it could be adapted. I think the dimensions are different as well.

Maybe there are custom made options out there.

That's a good idea though. I much prefer "moon roofs" with a glass top than the metal. It's nice to be able to slide back the inner cover to get some Sun without having to fully open the roof every time.
