XJ6 R 4.0L 1994: what to watch out ?
Hi all,
I'm looking for an XJ6 R X300 supercharged, but it would be my first Jag. So, I have to be very wary as I don't know what really to check.
I know that later models for the X308 had nikasil problems up to some MY, and tensioners worn out. There is very comprehensive buying guide for this model in the PistonHeads web site.
But for this one, what is to painstakingly check out?
There's one around my area, around 12.000 €, end of 1994, around 90 kmiles.
Is the engine a AJ12 from Jaguar or from Ford? Is this engine hassle-free if correctly serviced ? Is there a trustful buying guide somewhere?
