XJR running problems - more puzzles
Hi all, I'm trying to get my project running right and I'm dealing with a few problems. Perhaps someone can point me in the right direction.
The engine doesn't run very well, the idle is lumpy and it seems to be running rich. I bought myself a cheap OBD interface that connects to an app on my phone, so now I can at least take a look at the signals from various sensors.
A little background - the engine is the supercharged AJ16 converted to manual (gearbox sourced from an NA x300). The wiring harness/loom is also from the NA x300, while the ECU remains an auto XJR item.
I've read that the ECU needs the auto shifter microswitch to adjust the fuel trims when drive is selected - but doesn't the manual harness/loom come with the park sensing circuit hard wired?
Also, turning the key in the ignition won't make the starter crank, but the engine fires right up if I power the starter manually with the ignition on. Is this the immobilizer or is it also a park microswitch issue?
Oxygen Sensor readings:

Timing advance at idle:

Timing advance with engine rev:

MAF reading:

All fuel trims remain around 0, which I've read is incorrect.

All automatic cars have the starter inhibited unless the trans is in P or N. I would expect that since you have replaced the gearbox with a manual you will have to modify the wiring to simulate the auto gearbox selector switch position P or N input to the body processor module. The input to the BPM must be 0V (ground), I think, before the starter will operate.
Maybe there is a clutch switch?
Also, your O2 sensor traces are suspect. They are hanging near zero volts, although they are dithering somewhat. As to whether they are rich or lean- that depends on whether your scanner gives actual input voltage or "equivalent" voltage since these are titanium types lambda sensors. What about the STFT and LTFT?

As far as why it will not start, I am afraid my diagrams are for the US version and they do not seem to show a manual version. Sorry
Now, as to the fule trims, I guarantee you are not really at zero, so something must be amiss, probably the scanner connection. With your lambda sensor trims as above, the trims should either pegged positive or negative, about 15 or 20.

Dunno about your car exactly, but auto 'box rotary switch is between BCM and starter for some models, also JTIS says for all models BPM requires Check Engine input from ECM to enable cranking. I'd be checking if there is cranking output at the BPM and if not, what status security and check engine input to BCM.
